About The Artist

Izzy Scholes-Young (they/them) is a 23 year old collage artist based in Lexington, Kentucky. They have been making collage art for five years and began sharing their work as a student in Washington, DC. Lazy Lefty Art started with the radical claim that laziness is a virtue. Their art practice celebrates laziness as the place where creativity happens, resisting hustle culture and the romanticization of overwork. They were drawn to hand-cut paper collage as someone with a predisposition for collection, inspired by the scavenger hunt of assemblage.
